MONROE — There were minor injuries reported when a dump truck rolled over in Stepney on Friday, police officials said Saturday.
The Stepney Fire Department and Monroe police responded to the area of 525 Pepper St. shortly before 4:30 p.m. Friday for the report of a rollover. Responding units found a dump truck on its side in the roadway.
Monroe Police Capt. Keith White said there were minor injuries.
He said the dump truck drove down the road with the body of the truck up, which got caught on the wires and caused the truck to rollover.
White said a second vehicle was hit during the incident.
Fire officials said both drivers were able to get out of their vehicles on their own. Firefighters handled a fluid spill on scene.
A heavy duty wrecker responded to get the dump truck upright.
